set-mesh-var!: variable not set error

      Hello,

When I am traying to generate the volume mesh for my geometry I get the following error:

      Error: set-mesh-var!: variable not set

      Error Object: cartesian/mark/buffer-nlayer

I do not know how to slove this error and it is blocking any progress in my simulations.

I am using the workbench 2023 R2 with the Fluid Mechanics (Fluent with Fluent meshing) tool box.

      Can someone please help?

      Regards

      Hello,

unfortunately, this error is not really descriptive. Can you try with a different Fill-With method to see if it reproduces the error?

        Hello,

        Thank you for the reply!

Volume meshing gets completed for Fill With: polyhedra and Fill With: tetrahedral but I get the same error for Fill With: hexcore and I still get the error for Fill With: poly-hexcore

Does this help with understanding what is causing the error?

        Thank you!

It seems like the Volume mesh task is not showing you the number of Buffer layers for cartesian-type mesh.

You can try to create the Volume mesh from the Outline view > Mesh Objects > Cell Zones > right click > Auto Mesh
