S-parameter in MODE and INTERCONNECT

Hi, I encountered some problems when studying S-parameters in INTERCONNECT as follows:

I use "s-parameter sweep" in "Optimizations and Sweep" to get the S-parameter of the 4×4 MMI.

After get the S-parameter, I put it into "Optical N port S parameter" in INTERCONNCT and take a test simulation like the follows:

After check the power of the OOSC_1-4, I found the power is different with the "S-parameter data file"(Get from the MODE), not only that, the transmittance obtained by varFDTD simulation in the same MODE file is also different from the value recorded in the S-parameter data file. This has caused confusion to me. Can you please explain it to me?

Wish you have a good day, thanks a lot :)

      Hello,

Can you explain a little details on how you calculated the S-parameter?

If script is used, please share. I can recreate and troubleshoot.

Also, try to use ONA and run the simulation and visualize the result.

      Thanks and regards

        Hello, Devika

Icalculated the S-parameter with the “s-parameter sweep” as the following picture:

Then run it, export the data.

Thanks your advice to use ONA, the results from ONA is the same with "S-parameter data file".

But still a problem it that why the results from the CWL INPUT, then OOSC get the OUTPUT results is different with the ONA and "S-parameter data file", and what source and analyzer should I use the get the same results.

Another question: When I use MODE or FDTD simulation, the source is pulse, and results(transmission) calculated by the pulse source, and I get the S-parameter. Then I use CWL source in INTERCONNCT, does the results will be right?
