SubscriberHi,
I am trying to simulate a mixing with SPH . after I add the particles and SPH elements , the particles dont move anymore. I ran the simulation for 30s , and all particles are still Motionless. the impeller is rotating and particles have lower density than fluid , so they should go upwards which they do not.
I have attached two figures one at 3s and one at 30s which you can see all particles are the same position.all simulation parameters are default , I just changed sph element size to 5mm since my particles are 20mm.
Can you please help me with it?

Ansys EmployeeHi Saeed,
Ensure that the time step size is appropriate for the simulation. If it's too large, the interaction between the particles and the fluid may not be resolved properly, leading to incorrect particle behavior.
Since you modified the SPH element size, make sure that the resolution of the SPH elements is sufficient to capture the dynamics of the fluid-particle interaction. You might need to adjust the SPH particle size or the smoothing length to improve the accuracy of the simulation.
Also, ensure that gravity is correctly set.
