SubscriberHello,
Â
I tried to do a cfd-dem coupling with Rocky semi-resolved method and I faced an issue. I am using 2024R1 version. my cfd has 0.001s and dem has 4.6 e-6 s time step. I have a very fine mesh for my simullation and Im using k-epsilone model. when I start the simulation fluent runs for a few time steps and after that it does not proceed anymore and stops with no errors or warnings. even after hours it does not change. as you can see in the images I attached the simulation stuck at this point and does not go forward.
Can you please help me with this ?
Thanks

Ansys EmployeeHello Saeed,
The semi-resolved method is not compatible with the turbulence model, only with the laminar model.
For more information, please go to superior menu Help|Manuals|User Manual, and search for the chapter About Using the 2-Way Fluent Semi-Resolved Method.
Best Regards
