Rocky 2026 R1: New 2-Way Fluent node fails with No mesh_info.json

      Hello,

I am using Ansys Rocky 2026 R1 Academic Student together with Fluent 2026 R1.

The unmodified Tutorial 14 restart project can establish two-way Rocky–Fluent coupling and exchange CFD/DEM data on this computer. However, when I try to create a new 2-Way Fluent node for a custom project, Rocky’s automatic validation fails with:

      Coupling errors:
      No mesh_info.json file was found.

      Coupling warnings:
Current Fluent build id 10262 may not be compatible with Rocky-Fluent compiled UDFs with build id 10261.

      What I have checked:

      1. The Fluent CAS file uses a fully ASCII path.

      2. The CAS contains 72,970 fluid cells.

      3. The same CAS can be opened independently in Fluent.

      4. Using the Rocky-supplied UDF mesh-check functions in Fluent gives rocky/is_mesh_valid = #t and successfully generates mesh_info.json.

      5. Rocky’s Options > Ansys > Install Fluent/Rocky export command completes successfully, but the warning remains.

      6. After the automatic validation fails, Rocky does not create the 2-Way Fluent node.

I am not certain whether the build-number difference is the actual cause or only a warning. Could Ansys please help confirm:

      • What should be checked when a new 2-Way Fluent node reports “No mesh_info.json” even though the CAS mesh passes the Rocky UDF mesh validation?

      • Is there an official update or supported repair procedure for the Fluent/Rocky integration files in Ansys Student 2026 R1?

      • Why can the existing Tutorial 14 restart coupling run, while validation for a newly created coupling node fails?

I have not modified the official Scheme scripts, compiled UDFs, mesh_info.json, or validation cache.

      Thank you.
