Hey, I wanted to use a reverese biased photodetector in INTERCONNECT but it seems that it's not defined in the software and it is only supposed to work with a forward biased configuration. Even when I connect an oscilloscope and a spectrum analyzer, I face the error "Found empty result". I think that a simple circuit should be made with a resistor and ground connection for making a reverse biased configuration for a photodetector. Anybody has any idea that how can I make it possible? Thank you in advance.

Hi Pooya,
Thank you for reaching out to us! May I ask you whether you have come across to this article: Vertical photodetector? I believe that in step 3 we are using INTERCONNECT with reverse biased photodetector. Would that be a similar case for you?
Kind Regards,
Niki

Hi Niki,
Thank you very much for you reply and puting the example's link. Sorry I didn't clarify my question better. Actually what I'm looking for is that how can I have a negative value of current of the PIN detector. For more expalanation, I can say that I am looking for the part of the detector spectrum in which we have negative current vs negative voltage. The other question I had is that, due to my understanding, we are having optical input and current as the output of the photodetector. I wanted to know that how can I have the voltage as an output of a detector instead of a current in INTERCONNECT.P S: I am using the same components available in the photodetector example. A CW laser, AM for the light modulation by an external electrical signal, ... .
I would be more than happy if I can provide more information for better clarification. Thank you very much for your help!
