result of random vibration

  Hi all,
  I meet a problem with random vibration analysis.
  Solver version: R13
  Result:
  1, elements in d3psd result are normal.
  2, elements in d3rms result are in a mess.
  3, this problem recurrent in another computer, so suspection of computer system can be ruled out.
  Is there anyone know what's the reason?

  Hi, could you please let me know what you mean by d3rms results are a mess? Did you try a different (newer) version of the solver?

    Hi igandiko,
    ’in a mess’ means the elements have a large deformation and overlap.
    I find the error is result from the order of solid elements. Elements in above screenshots are second order. I change the elements into first order, the elements in d3rms file are normal, as below screenshot shows. However, result of first order is less accurate than second order.
