I am doing a Static Structural simulation in ANSYS Workbench. I am using "Multilinear Isotropic Hardening". How does ANSYS calculate the "Stress", when the strain passes the "Elastic Limit". I am curious to know the Math behind the results.Â
Any explanations, please? Thanks.

Hi,
The multilinear isotropic hardening behavior can be described based on a piece-wise linear stress-plastic strain curve. To know more about how it is calculated, you may refer to the Ansys Help document here - Rate-Independent Plasticity
Hope this helps!
