YANG GUORUI
SubscriberWhen manually defining piezoelectric material parameters, I did not find the definition option of piezoelectric coefficient in the engineering material interface, so I would like to ask how to define this parameter.
At the same time, I also want to ask how to save the material parameters after the definition is completed.

Ansys EmployeeHey Yang Guorui!
Please refer to this example problem. The model here includes piezoelectric material definition.Â
Chapter 39: Wire Bonding Ultrasonic Transducer (ansys.com)
Also, refer to the link below to understand how to create new materials and define their properties.
Thanks!

Ansys EmployeeYou might need to turn off "Filter Engineering Data" so the properties other than those needed for whatever type of analysis system you have on the project page are displayed:
Â
Also, at 2023R1, if you open Engineering Data Sources, you'll find a number of predefined piezoelectric materials (poled in the z direction, I believe, and only for 3D models). Please see the image below. You can duplicate any of them and then edit the duplicate with your own material data.
Â
If the version of WB that you are using is old, these options might not be available, and you would either use the Piezo and MEMS ACT or define the material properties with an APDL command object.
Best,
Bill
