Hello,

We are looking for best practices regarding migration of large legacy SpaceClaim file libraries from .scdoc to .scdocx.

Our customer has several years of existing SpaceClaim data and wants to avoid manually opening and re-saving every file.

Questions:

1. Is there a supported batch conversion method for converting large numbers of .scdoc files to .scdocx?
2. How should assemblies/external references be handled during this migration?
3. Is there a recommended workflow from Ansys for customers with large existing datasets?
4. Is the Windows-preview gonna be working in later versions in combination with SCDOCX files?

Any experience or guidance would be appreciated.

Hello, 

You can use Converter.exe from C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v261\scdm to convert large number of scdoc to scdocx. 

Let me know if this helps based on your first 3 questions. 

Windows preview should work the same for .scdocx as well.
