every time I have done the calculations a scaled residual and temperature plot will appear, then I save and exit Ansys Fluent. but when you re-enter ansys fluent scaled residual, temperature plot, and others you can't see it again. how can I see that again when I want to enter ansys fluent again without running recalculation?

Hello,
I hope while saving the plots/data you must have 'write>case & data'. Now, you can 'read>case & data' that you previously saved to retain the same residuals and plots.Â
To plot the residuals, you can find the 'plot' option in residuals setup and same for report definitions.Â
Hope this helps you.Â
Thanks! Â-

Hi,Â
residual plot can reopened from Solution > Reports > Residual > Plot.
Regarding other plots it depends. You can replot all the graphics you have created as objects ( contour pathlines, you can find them inside the tree under Results > Graphics and Results > Plots tabs.
Report plots ( how the variable change with iteration ) is not usually saved when you close and reopen. So in this case I suggest you to save the values into a file .out.

July 24, 2023 at 8:41 ampeppersSubscriberwhen I reopen ansys fluent and follow this Solution > Reports > Residual > Plot. it will appear 'gui-monitor-residuals: Uninitialized flow file'Âthen for the temperature plot I already have data in the form of an OUT file, how can fluent ansys be able to read the OUT file when I reopen ansys?

The out file is just a time & value text file, it's not something you can read back into Fluent (well, you can for xy plots but it's not used for solving).Â
If you're running in Workbench open the Solution cell, not Setup. Ideally, run Fluent in standalone mode and you'll see read/write case etc.Â
