hello
i work on a bridge model as shown in the picture, i want to create a rigide link (green color) between the main girder (red element) and the transverse beams (blue elements) at the black nodes
Please how to do it in ansys mecanical ?
And is there any option to generate these links without creating nodes in main girder ?
All elements are beam type

In SpaceClaim, you can create a Plane normal to the main girder through the first transverse beam, then use a Linear Pattern to create all the other Planes at the needed pitch distance along the main girder. Split the line for the main girder up into segments so there is a vertex at each plane.  On the Workbench tab, use the Share button to cause the mesher to share a common node at each vertex to create a continuous main girder mesh.

Create one Fixed Joint with the vertex on the main girder on the Reference side and the two vertices of the transverse beams on the Mobile side of the joint.

If you make a Named Selection of the vertices along the main girder and another Named Selection of the vertices of the ends of the transverse beams, you may find that the Object Generator can automatically build all the other Fixed Joints, or you can just make them manually one at a time if there are not too many and then you don't need to make the two Names Selections.
