Hello,

I am a student currently using the Ansys Student version to support my learning in engineering subjects. I would like to confirm a few things regarding the software:

1. Does the license for the Ansys Student version expire after a certain period? If yes, how long is the license valid?
2. What steps should I follow to renew the license or re-activate the software after the license expires?
3. Are there any additional requirements or costs involved in continuing to use the Ansys Student version after renewal?

1: Yes - it's covered in the same place you downloaded it from. Typically the licence is valid for a year and may later be extended at our discretion by an extra 6 months but see 2 below. 

2: Uninstall, download the new version and reinstall. The fully licenced versions (eg Teaching, Research & Commercial) has a separate licence manager & file; the licence is often for a year but works on most older versions of the code. 

3: No, it's still free for learning use. The other licence terms stand, and are covered in the T&Cs.
