SubscriberI am trying to model a pull out test in ls prepost. The quater model contais of 5 concrete blocks one over the other, a hole which has anchor (bolt). The empty space in the hole around the bolt is filled by grout. the hole is till the half depth of the bottom layer. it takes 300 sec and 150 KN to pull out the bolt. these are the key word cards which I have used for the simulation. i am also attaching the out put file generated.
LS-DYNA keyword deck by LS-PrePost. Am I using the wrong solver I also tried it with implicit the it is showing elapsed time as some days, which is not even reducing.*CONTROL_TERMINATION

Ansys EmployeeHello, I assume you're running explicit. 300 seconds termination time is too long to run an explicit analsyis, which is typically used for solving fast dynamic events, even 1 second is too long. If you have to run it that long, you may have to switch to implicit or increase the rate of pull. You also have very fine mesh which makes the explicit timestep very small. solution time depends on total number of cycles which is termination time divided by dt (timestep).
