I am trying to simulate 2D cylinder flow as shown on the follwing image.
Should i set these types of prolbem as 2D problem before composing geometry ?? (Right click on gometry tab on workbench, then click property and change analysis type to "2D)
Â
If yes, are there any rules when writing UDF for 2D problems ??
I am using UDF for 3D cylinder problem and it worked in 3D problem. But, it didn't work well when solving 2D problem for the same cylinder. Â

Ansys EmployeeYes.
Yes there are rules for things related to volume and area especially if axis-symmetric. The customization manual is good resource for that.

Anime, thak you so much for your comments.
I have one more question. Should I solve this problem introducing axis-symmetric boundary condition at central axis ??Â

Best regards
