Hi Praneeth,
Thank you for your reply.
I encountered this error while simulating a chip model containing 5 antennas. Yes, I am using HPC. Could you please clarify what you mean by "using it within the limit"? I conducted the simulation on a machine equipped with 50 processors and 256 GB RAM.

Hi,
Did this occur during the adaptive passes stage of the analysis?
Please share the HPC options screenshots to help us serve you better.

Hi,
Please use 90% of RAM and try solving the model again.
Best regards,

Hi PraneethÂ
Thank you for the info.Â
I will run the simulation with 90% of RAM.Â
May i know what might be the reason to change from 99 to 90%?
Best regards,
Biswash Paudel

Hi Biswash,
This is a general recommendation to not load the RAM fully.Â

Hi Praneeth,
Thank you for clearing the doubt.
I am working on a chip model with 4 layers (10x10x1.35 mm^3): copper layer, Polyimide, Aluminium Nitride, and Aluminium.
I have placed 9 zigzag antennas (0.2mm length) in the polyimide layer at equidistant positions from each other.
I am looking for a transmission coefficient. What would be the best mesh setting and speed up for this type of simulation? Could you please help with this?
Â
Best regards,

Hi Biswash,
Did you try the HFSS 3D layout design type which is predominantly used for 3D models with small thickness like PCBs?
Best regards,
Praneeth. -

Hi Praneeth,
No I use the HFSS for the design of whole structure and define individual layers.Â

Hi,Â
Yes, I relaxed the mesh setting, decrease the frequency sweep and applied domain decomposition solution with first order of basis function.Â
