SubscriberHi guys, I'm trying to plot streamline around my airfoil after aerodynamics analysis (inviscid) at lift coefficient =0.
I've a problem in the post-processing when i try to plot streamline around the airfoil using CFX tool (Results) of ANSYS 19 R2. I've obtained that the streamline pass through the airfoil instead of surrounding it. How can I solve the problem ?

Ansys EmployeeCan you show velocity vectors?

Ansys EmployeeInviscid= there is a slip at wall + no penetration.Â

SubscriberOk, Is this prompt to solve the streamlines problem or that one regarding the velocity vector on "perimeter"?

Ansys EmployeeI do not understand your question: the suggestion to use vectors is just a workaround for you. If you think the behavior with streamlines is buggy you need to share more details about their creation and where you created the solution.

SubscriberI've obtained the solution using Fluent, it's an inviscid, incompressible analysis. I chose the angle of attack to obtain Cl=0(zero lift). Then I've used CFD-post for the results post-processing and there is the problem that I've showed in the first message of this discussion: streamlines passing through the airfoil.
Running other simulations, I did not have this problem. -

Ansys EmployeeIf the streamlines in Fluent are looking fine just use them from Fluent or do export massless particle tracks from Fluent to CFD-Post if you prefer post-processing in Fluent. Also check if you can create surface streamlines in Post, as I assume you ran it 2D in Fluent.

SubscriberHi everyone! I've solved the problem using the following commands: geometry->type>surface streamline.
