September 13, 2023 at 12:45 pmDaniel LuongoSubscriberFor the past few months, I and some of our customers have been experiencing the problem that as soon as we install the new version of the software, trying to start it after a few moments it crashes, disappears... Even after installing the provided patch. The only way to "fix" it is to go through the command prompt and force it open. Can the alternative be found to give to our customers to solve this problem?Thank you in advance

Hello Daniel,
This is a known issue with SpaceClaim 2023 R2 and is expected to be resolved soon. Only SpaceClaim is affected because its copy of Microsoft.Identity.Client.dll is slightly different than the copy used elsewhere.
The issue can be corrected by copying Microsoft.Identity.Client.dll from elsewhere to the scdm folder:
Copy from: $(AWP_ROOT232)\Subscription\bin\Win64\Microsoft.Identity.Client.dll
to: $(AWP_ROOT232)\scdm\Microsoft.Identity.Client.dll
The file you want is 1,407 KB. Let me know if this helps.
Regards,
Devendra

Hello Daniel,
Just a note, this issue is with some subsciption users, and is expected to be resolved soon. Till then, please try using the command line options (run as admin for some) and the workaround mentioned above.
Thanks,
Devendra

Thank you Devendra,
I will try this procedure from now on, otherwise I will continue to use the prompt.
