SubscriberHi everyone i am doing CFD Analysis of the Propeller whose dia is 76 inch i have calculated the tip velocity while ignoring any assumptions, tip speed is 0.80 Mach, Now i have use Fluent Module and choosed Pressure based solver results are validating as i did found thrust through another software that computes thrust in 2D. In Pressure based solver thrust is around 600 N less than that of 2D Analysis that is obviously because of prandtl Tip/lift losses factor and another 3D losses. Now my question was that can we use Pressure based solver for rotating bodies where some of the part of the lies in transonic regime while most part of the body lies in mild compressible regime.

Ansys EmployeeHello,
You can try using DBNS and verify the results.
