Pressure-dependant friction coefficient in Workbench LS-Dyna

We are working on explicit dynamics simulations of viscoelastic materials in the Ansys Workbench LS-Dyna extension. For these models, the accuracy of the friction response if very crucial. If a curve fitting between pressure and friction coefficient is determined experimentally, is there a way to incorporate a pressure-dependent friction condition into the simulations with the results of the curve fitting process?

Pressure-dependent frictional condition can be defined in WB LS-DYNA using Keyword Snippet.
You need to use WB LS-DYNA to create a frictional contact first. Then write the K file and copy the contact keyword to the Keyword Snippet. In the keyword snippet, FS needs to be set to 2.0 or -2.0. You also need to include *Define_Table or *Define_Friction to get the pressure-dependent coefficient of friction. See the instructions below from LS-DYNA K Manual.
Finally, you need to suppress the frictional contact in the WB LS-DYNA Tree Outline to avoid the duplicated definition of the same contact.
