      Hi,

I am having the an issue that I hope you could assist me with as I am fairly new to LS-DYNA. I am trying to run an example from dynaexamples.com with ICFD cards (ICFD DEM coupling example). The example should be run using MPP_d version R8 or higher according to the developer. I am trying to run the same example on my local machine from LS-Run using R12 MPP_d solver (windows) and MS-MPI. I get this message in the lsrun.out:"forrtl: severe (157): Program Exception - access violation".

I managed to reach someone from support of dynamore in Germany I guess and they confirmed that they've tried the same example on R12 MPP_d on Linux and it worked. I have tried all the tricks mentioned online regarding the memory and number of CPUs, and also I tried different solvers including the built-in solver of ANSYS.

Are there any suggestions regarding this issue? Once again, the example is on dynaexamples.com and I did not create it myself which was the whole point of validating that the solvers are working fine on a trusted example.

I am attaching lsrun.out file for reference where the error is showing.

      Hi,
There seems to be a bug in R12 MPP Windows build. The example runs fine on Linux using R12. Please try using a different version (I tried R11.2 on Windows and it worked).
      Regards igandiko
