Yes, you can define the preload b/w two joining parts. Preload is applied based on the bolt size and nut factor. Loading must be in steps and once preload is applied, we need the lock the preload.Â

Yes, it is possible to simulate preload between two solid parts that are screwed together.
One way is to use the Bolt pretension object. More information related to that can be found in Ansys Help documentation at the following link:
