Ansys EmployeeHi,
You can change the operation type between motor and generator in the analysis setup.

Ansys EmployeeHello Ashish Patil,
Do you use machine type of "DC machine" or others? Could you show setup1 and machine type?

SubscriberI had selected machine type as pmdc motor but under analysis setup the operation type is not changing. It is by default set to motor and not changing to generator and also the on the extreme right of the analysis setup the read only box is checked which i am not able to de-select.
Tomorrow I will show you the setup1 and machine type.
Regards

Ansys EmployeeHello Ashish,
Do you show machine type? Could you show your PMDC machine's image? If you could not find the setting of "generator" in Setup1 in your mahcine type template, it is a limit and you have to use Maxwell.

Thank you for helping.
I have one more small doubt.
How to simulate maxwell design in generator or motor mode.
