I am trying to simulate a snap feature to understand the bending stress on the snap tab. I have large deflection off and the stress that I see is 0.5x the tensile yield stress of the material. Given this, I still see a permanent deformation in the snap tab along with plastic strain, so I am unable to understand whether the results are accurate or not.

Hi
We have a few courses on the topic of plasticity, that show how to run such an analysis:

All the best
