Hi everyone,
for a master degree thesis I need to model a pin pull-out test; I'm a very beginner in Ansys so probably I don't know a lot o command.
the situation is this:
We have an alluminium pin inside an epoxy carbon woven prepreg block and at the interface between them we have a czm material with this properties:
the numerical value of the properties are not very important because we need to find out the real properties with a response surface optimization with respect the input we decide (a force o a displacement).
Here's the problem: I can't perform an entire simulation because a lot of error or problem happen for example "the solver engine was unable to converge on a solution for the nonlinear problem as constrained " or "the preconditioned conjugate gradient solver failed ansys". I've try tro constrained it in different model. i've try different mesh strategies but it doesn't work.
these are some informations about the simulation
and the way it's constrained:
I must use only 4 cores.
Can someone help me please?
Thank you

Thank you for the answer, but I have already seen these courses and tutorial and I model the contact zone exactly as is show in the third link.
Did you have any other advice?
