SubscriberDear friends,
I need to understand for simulating compression test with nonlinear isotropic hardening criteria, which physics performance should we use?
mechanical or nonlinear mechanical?

Ansys EmployeeBoth of these option should be fine as both of them generate qudratic elements. Using nonlinear preference , you may get more smooth mesh and slowly changing mesh. Whereas using Mechanical preference, you might get coarse mesh and transition would be fast by default.
