I would like to patch certain length of a pipe starting from the inlet. I created a region (region0) under Cell Register by specifying the coordinates (min & max) but it didn't select the inlet face (seen in blue in the attached figure). I created another region (region1) containing the inlet face but under Patch, it wouldn't allow me to patch both regions.

What do you see if you plot the volume fraction down the z-centre plane?

That's fine. You may find the inlet gives an odd result depending on what's entering the domain and whether it's done an iteration.Â
