I would like to patch certain length of a pipe starting from the inlet. I created a region (region0) under Cell Register by specifying the coordinates (min & max) but it didn't select the inlet face (seen in blue in the attached figure). I created another region (region1) containing the inlet face but under Patch, it wouldn't allow me to patch both regions.

Here is region 0. Not sure why it won't allow me to specify the inlet face as water.

What do you see if you plot the volume fraction down the z-centre plane?

Iso-surface of water (vol fraction = 1 for water) shows the top region has but I don't expect that because the top inlet is introducing water at 1 g/s.

That's fine. You may find the inlet gives an odd result depending on what's entering the domain and whether it's done an iteration.
