SubscriberHi everyone,Â
I've been running a simulation on Rocky and in my simulation I have a circular inlet inside a spinning funnel, the generated particles go through the funnel and at some point, sometimes the height of the particles inside the funnel reaches the virtual inlet I created before. Since then Rocky stops generating the particles (due to the delay) which makes sense, but when the funnel is emptied out and the height of the particles are lower than the inlet surface, it doesn't resume generating particles afterwards. Does anyone have any idea?Â

Ansys EmployeeHi,
It sounds like the inlet is being blocked when the particle bed reaches the inlet surface, which explains why generation stops. However, if particle generation does not resume after the region is cleared, it may be worth checking whether the inlet is still being considered blocked or if there is a setup issue.
Hope this helps!Â

SubscriberHi Jackson,
Thanks for your explanation.Â
To be honest, I ran another simulation with the exact same setup and geometry but it is working well. I didn't change any setup and configuration but it is working now, and I don't know how it was fixed. But the only thing I did was to remove all geometries and reimport them again.Â
