SubscriberIs there any way to simulate particles (greater than 50 microns) using filters in ansys fluent? Like using mpm or dpm models?

SubscriberI want to capture the filtration efficiency of a particular filter for removing colloidal particles in water.

SubscriberAlso, I want to capture the particle trajectory and pressure on the filter because of particle tracking.

Forum ModeratorOK, so you want to see the particles being caught by the filter material? Ie model every last strand and fibre?

Forum ModeratorSort of, read up on the porous media model (it's a cell zone condition). There are lots of things we can simulate, and in most cases it's more a question of you understanding the physics of the problem to then apply the software.Â
