SubscriberAs part of an analysis project, I'm analyzing a system's response to a pulse excitation. One of the values I need is the maximum and minimum values from the average acceleration tabular set for each body in the model. I'm using design points to automate the simulation process as I have numerous parameters to vary independently.
The issue I've encountered is that either ANSYS or LS-DYNA does not report the max/min of the average acceleration data; the only way of getting this data within Mechanical that I can find is to read it off the a-t graph: not ideal and not possible for the large number of simulations I need to run.
Does anyone have experience with or solutions to creating custom parameterizable results from tabular data within LS-DYNA?

Ansys Employeeyou question has mixed issues and I am answering you the LSDYNA part, you need LSOPT for performing optimisation and DoE with LSDYNA as solver. Parameters are created using RPram_name , value and inferring into the curve card. The general definition of parameterized tabular data might look's follows

LsOPt will detect the parameters and you can than use DoE and proceed with your analysis and postprocessing.

SubscriberHey,can you clarify the role of LSOPT in your answer? My goal is to simply create a dataset (.csv or .xlsx) of results based on the varied inputs. I don't have too much use for optimization using ANSYS at this time.
One thing I want to specify: I'm using LS-DYNA through ANSYS workbench, which ends up appearing in the ANSYS Mechanical. I'm not using the standalone LS-DYNA.

Would it be possible for you to provide more detail regarding the methods of parameterizing data that you mention? Can you link to any online documentation or resources? One option I'm researching is the use of a commands object in ANSYS mechanical (see below) - would this provide the same functionality as LS-OPT?

Many thanks,
Adam
