SubscriberHello,
I was previously discussing this in another thread and was asked to create a new thread. I skinned a CAD faceted body and have an upper fluid region and lower solid region (all one part and shared topography). I loaded the mesh into fluent and got a weird 'outer' wall body for the bottom solid body (see photo). Will this interfere with the model run?

Forum ModeratorWhere is it in relation the rest of the model? nMarch 15, 2021 at 6:01 pmsoloviev

SubscriberI went ahead and ran the model and when I look at the results, I don't see this wall in the wireframe in CFD post. I'm guessing it isn't influencing the calculations, but I did want to verify. nMarch 16, 2021 at 12:52 pmRob
Forum ModeratorThere might be a missing surface label when you created the geometry. I've not seen this occur for any other reason, so double check the mesh in Fluent to see what's going on. nViewing 4 reply threads- The topic ‘Outer wall forming when mesh loaded into fluent’ is closed to new replies.
