Optimetrics post analysis display

      Hi,

I have set an Optimetrics parametrics simulation with calculations outputs, however sometimes the results are not present after the simulation have been proceeded, (right click ParametricSetup>view analysis result). This happend sometime but not always. The post analysis display window seems to disappear quite randomly during the simulation.

My question is: where I can find theses data and why they are sometimes not showing in the report?

The simulations are time expensive (few days) and I cannot keep all data as my hard drive cannot handle the TB of the simulation if I check the box "save all mesh and field". In the end, I only want to store the calculation result.

In the analysis result, the tick at the top is valid and the profile shows a normal completion of the simulation. If I try to make a report from the results module, I still have the data present, but the format is not the same  (I want a list with one line per parameter set, and on the columns the parameters and the calculations).

      Thank

      Hi,

Please share more information on the disappearance of the post analysis display window to hepl us serve you better :

      1. Which version of the Ansys Electronics Desktop you are using?
      2. Did you observe this issue while the simulation is still running?
      3. Were you able to see the window once the simulation is completed?

The "save all mesh and field" is optional and is useful to save the mesh and all the related fields for post-processing of the parametric analysis. However, care should be taken when the parametric has more variations to run. You can disable it if you do not want field information for all the variations or setup a subset of variations in another parametric to save the disc space.

It is also possible to plot this calculation using the general results. In the new report window, change the primary sweep to the design variable that is used in the parametric.

      Best regards,
      Praneeth.

      Hi,

I have been running my simulation on electronics desktop 2021 R2, the simulation runs fine. At one point, the table in the result tab of the post analysis disapear but the simulation is still running at this step and it continue whitout errors up to the full completion of the simulation. After the optimetrics simulation is finished this table stays empty.

My main complain about the reports is, as I have two design variables and a lot of outputs, the table is not as clean as the table obtained from the post analysis display/Result window (with the variation number, the design variables and the calculation outputs).

      Best regards,

      Rémy

      Hi,

As you stated that this issue happens sometimes, it is required to check your simulation model from our side to check the actual cause. But, this is not possible through the learning forum because of its open nature. If you have service access, then submit a case on the same.

      Best regards,
      Praneeth.

      Thank you,

I'll try to get a simpler design where I have this issue before submitting a request.

      Best Regards,

      Rémy
