SubscriberHi! I have a volume in spaceclaim and I want to extract the surrounding surface to perfrom a shell model. I detach the volume and I got a lot of surface bodies (which are in fact the patcehs of the CAD volume). I am trying to merge all the surfaces in one surface but I cannot. How I should do this process? How I can obtain the surrounding surface of a volume in a single body)?

SubscriberIn SpaceClaim, go to the Workbench tab and click on the Share button. This will create a single connected mesh in Mechanical. You don't need to merge the faces.
If you want to merge some faces for some reason, you do that in SpaceClaim on the solid volume. I think Merge Face is on the Repair tab. When the solid has fewer faces, copy/paste the faces to Surfaces and delete the Solid.
