Even though I have set a 2d analysis and just created a 2d surface for analysis in mechanical module its asking for thickness. Can you guide me how to pri=oceed the simulation just with a surface

Read through the help manual under Mechanical User's Guide and Specifying Geometry and 2D analysis for details.

There are also several videos on 2D thermal analysis. Search for that.

      All the best

Respected Sir I had also done similarly instead of design modeler just used Spaceclaim but in analysis they are asking for thickness. Also analysis option such as axissymetry isnt being compatible for this analysis

It is fine you can have a 1m thickness the results will be in the xy plane (so 2D) and not vary in the z -direction - so that is the way to use it.
Unfortunately not much exist on the documentation on these elements (2D thermal) so I can not provide anymore help.

      Thank you and

      All the best
