Hi,
Is it possible to create a nonconformal mesh in Ansys with differently sized elements that automatically share boundary nodes with bonded contact?
October 25, 2021 at 3:09 pmRahul KumbharAnsys EmployeeYes it is possible. If you dont create shared topology between the surfaces, it will automatically create non-conformal mesh.
October 25, 2021 at 3:17 pmDoodlerDSubscriberthat would necessitate the creation of manual edge to edge contacts/nodal contact or does Ansys generate a default bonded contact automatically?
October 28, 2021 at 11:34 amRahul KumbharAnsys EmployeeAnsys generates a contacts automatically. Still I would suggest to check them and proceed further.
