      Hi All,

I didn't find S-N curve among the properties of structural steel.

I didn't also find it among the toolbox inorder to add to the structural steel properties.

Please how can i go around this.

      Thanks

What version of ANSYS are you using?

If you are in an analysis system that can't use S-N data, such as Modal, and you have the Filter Engineering Data button set to On, you will not see the S-N data in Structural Steel or in the Toolbox.

Once you set Filter Engineering Data button to Off, you can see the S-N data in Structural Steel and the model in the Toolbox.

I found it but it does not stay permanent in the material properties.

It disappears if i click the "filter engineering data" again.

It's a toggle button. Click once it's On, click again it's Off, click again it's On, click again it's Off, etc.

I clicked again to turn it on but the S-N curve is gone.

Also, the initial plot is not also displaying in the graph area upon inserting "fatigue tool".

If you want to see the S-N model in the Toolbox and the data in Structural Steel, leave the filter Off.  Why did you click it again to turn it On?  Don't do that.

Solve the model and Evaluate All Results, then look at the Graph.

I have also left the filter off.

The Engineering Data Filter setting has no effect on what you can do inside Mechanical, it only affects the display when looking at Engineering Data.
