Need help with V-bending simulation with Ansys

I'm just a beginner on Ansys, and I'm struggling with simulating a V-die sheet metal bending process.

Can someone help me on how to set up the contact and static structural ? Cus when i watched the tutorials on Youtube, some use joint but some use contact instead.

      Also:
Can i get the resulted bending force after solving?
And what if i want to input bending force into the simulation?

I'm looking forward to hear your suggestion. Thank you

      Vincent

      HI

I would suggest to use explicit dynamics for this (static can not solve this).

      See here for a tutorial:

        Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion. It went quite well. But the thing is, my sheet metal plate is too flexible, felt like rubber, is there anyway i can make it bahave like normal steel plate? And also, i want to input the force at the end of the journey, is it possible?

        Thank you

        Vincent
