Need help with ANSYS AM DED G-code interpretation for circular movements!

      Hello everyone,

I'm currently facing an issue in the ANSYS AM DED regarding the interpretation of circular movement in G-code. Specifically, I'm trying to simulate the printing process of a cylinder-shaped part. In order to achieve this, I need to generate a G-code file for G-code clustering. However, I've encountered a problem where ANSYS doesn't seem to interpret circular movements correctly in the G-code.

I have already added the G02 command to the "Laser On Commands," but, I haven't obtained any favorable results, as it only interprets linear moves. It's worth mentioning that my part consists of four layers, with two circular passes in each layer. You can find the G-code below.I would greatly appreciate any assistance or insights you can provide to help me on this.

      Hi Pouyan,

I guess you need to add CIP in the laser on commands options.

Please check below Ansys help link for details.

      Hello Akshay,

      Thanks for the response!

I checked the document out and tried the suggested approach, but unfortunately, it didn't work for my case. However, I am now using a series of linear moves to approximate circular motions.
