Necking at two different place on the tensile specimen

      Hello,

I have a stress-strain curve determined experimentally. I referred to one of the previous posts and converted engineering to true stress and strains and effectively found the plastic strains and corresponding true stresses. I also imported them in the Multilinear kinematic hardening model starting from 0 strain in Ansys WB static structural. I later conducted a tensile test simulation. I have created remote point at the end surfaces and one remote point is given zero displacement and other with some displacement

I want to have the necking in the middle. But currently, I am having it as shown in the figure.

Please help me how to solve this.

      Thanks in advance

      Best Regards
      Praveen

Use a coupon shape with large radius on each side of the width so the narrowest part is at the center.

      Dear Peter,

Thank you very much. It worked.

      Best Regards
