Multiple simulations in workbench or apdl

      Hi good day,

I have a model in transient structural (I have workbench model and also converted to apdl input file). In this model I simulate impact. Now, I would like to run multiple simulations where I randomly vary the input velocity and damping ratios between a specified range and then store the ouput after each simulation maybe in a text or excel file or something. How can I do this?

      Hi
you can parameterize the input BCs in the mechanical which is your variable quantity and you can get the corresponding output result. If I missed something to address your question, then please explain it in detail.

Thanks for your response. In the a-pproach you mention will I be able to randomly choose the input between a specified range of numbers and also randomly choose input from an array or list of values for each simulation I do?

      Hello
      Thanks for your patience,
You can try to use the Direct optimization technique to get multiple design points. you would have the option to insert the specified range of the value and the solver will create the number of design points between the specified range of value. Try this method and let me know if this helped you or not.
You can follow the tutorial on YouTube by searching with the keyword " Desing parameter Optimization ( Direct Optimization)"
