SubscriberHello Community, I'm quite new using this software for Light Simulation. I was wondering if there is a "simple" or "easy way" to set up multiple light sources. I want to run a simulation with around 200 LEDs and I was wondering if there is a fast way like a pattern or isntance or simular to put this 200 LEDs without setting each one of them. I have some Axis as reference wth the position, but currently I have to set the Origin and X&Y direction for each light sources (which is taking me a lot of clicks to do it).  Thanks in advance for any help ? -

Ansys EmployeeHello,
In 2022R2, the efficient way is scripting: have your origin/X/Y all set within a dedicated part, then record the assignment of the LED to one set of origin/X/Y, and edit your script so it repeats for all the sets in the dedicated part.
The simple way if your LEDs are regularly mapped is to create a pattern of the LED using the "Linear Pattern", "Circular Pattern" or "Fill Pattern" feature from the Design tab.
Coming 2023R1 next January, a new Speos Pattern feature will be available and will let you select a list of origin systems to automatically create and orient sources on each.
Thanks for you interest in our software ?
