      Hi,

Hope you all are doing great! I need your help in understanding an issue in LSDYNA MPP solver. We installed "ANSYS structures and fluid bundles" in which LS-Dyna solver was included under Ansys Academic Research Mechanical (1 task) license. We were unable to run our MPP model.  We don't have any issues running our SMP model.  The licenses seem to indicate SMP (see below), so we weren't sure if there was a different type of license required for running MPP. Kindly help me with this. Thanks in advance for your help.

What error do you get? I could be wrong, but I think you should be able to run an MPP job with 16 cores max.

      Hello Manik,

You can run both SMP and MPP with the the dysmp license. You don't need a special license to run MPP. You have 1 "dyna" license and 15 "dysmp" licenses which means you can run 1 job (at max) on 16 cores. You cannot run 2 jobs with 8  cores each with this license setup.

Thanks Reno and Imtiaz for your response.

Yes, I was able to run "FSI_2flaps" from the LSdyna intermediate examples using 16-core MPP solver.

Currently I am running an Elemance's commericial GHBMC (human body) model on MPP solver and it is prematuraly terminating. Although no error was printed but it seems like while running the model on "16-cores double precision MPP with intel MPI" the job got terminated during the domain decomposition process. Below is the screenshot from the "d3hsp" file.

Below is the screenshot showing the last printed in "mes0000" file

I am sharing the link to the google drive containing all the result files including "mes0000" for your reference. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ILLnHSrNhLzDEAAO8y8x3kRsgifgchIu?usp=sharing

Kindly share your thoughts regarding this. For you to have a quick look, I am sharing the screenshot of "mes0000" file listing all the compilers

Thanks again for your help and time. Looking forward to hear from you.

      Best,Manik

      Hello Manik,

This is a different issue (not licensing related). Could you create a new thread for the new question?

      Reno.
