SubscriberHow to simulate the moving heat source in ansys with out ACT extension. ACT extension consists of Gaussian heat source model but my requirement is Goldak double elliposidal heat source model. I have code but giving the improper temperature profiles. Can any one help me to slove it.
Ansys archive file This file contains code and results too.
In the code i need to know what is TAU indicates/Impacts and CSI = (X or Y or Z) + Vel (TAU-WTIME) is what ..??
I know the terms that TAU is lag factor and CSI is moving cooridnate but what the process invovled in CSI is my doubt.. Kindly help me to slove it.
Thank you.

Forum ModeratorAgreed, and sorry for not giving a better explanation.
But unfortunately, the code that you are referring to is of an ACT extension (which is not a part of standard product), which according to the clickwrap agreement you click on while downloading, is not supported.
Along with the code, there is documentation, that is the only thing you can refer to along with other community users' help!

Along with that, ANSYS employees can not download anything from the community posts.

SubscriberHai
Ansys providing the moving heat source extension for only Gaussian model. Adding extension and giving parameters produce the simulation of it with correct results.
But my requirement is finding the moving heat source for double ellipsoidal model instead of gaussian model.
For executing/simulation the double ellipsoidal heat source model am giving the mathematical equation and parameters in the command section.
Thank You
