Hi
I had a problem when running the LAB Module thermal analysis on the full torque-speed envelop of the motor. The thermal circuit was modified as the flow direction in the stator channel is from the middle to the end and the front (bidirectional). Then, when I run the thermal analysis in the LAB Module, it's always unconverged (or iteration is larger than 200). Could you give me some advice on it?

Hi Zhaokai,
Which version of MotorCAD are you using? Is the thermal envelop simulation crashing or taking too long to converge? If you run a thermal analysis without coupling to Lab, are you still having convergence issues? This will probably require the model to troubleshoot so please reach out through the customer portal and create a support ticket.

It works well with Thermal module only.Â
Then, when it comes to the Lab module, the convergence issue is a big problem. It takes long time to get the results for one working condition. Sometimes, I can find this issue.
It is really strange. I can get some thermal results (only a curve rather than the full torque speed envelop).

Hi Zhaokai,
In general, the thermal envelop calculation in Lab is heavy and takes a lot of time. That is not out of the ordinary. About the numerical error, we would have to inspect the model. Please reach out through the customer portal and create a support request.
