I am performing modal analysis using the Lumerical FDE solver on a rib waveguide structure (Z-cut LN) with the propagation direction along the y-axis. I am interested in finding a single-mode waveguide structure, and for this purpose, I am obtaining a 95% TE polarization fraction (Ex) for mode 1. However, for the same mode, when I observe Ey and Ez, the intensity of Ey is larger than that of Ez. Since the propagation direction is along y, Ey should be negligible or of the lowest intensity. Please provide comments, possible solutions, and opinions on this matter.
Thank you,

Hi Mijanur,
Did you compare the field compontents quantitatively? Also, what is the "waveguide TE/TM fraction" for the mode? I believe this quantity gives you an estimate of the field intensity in the propagation direction as a proportion of the total intensity.

yes , I compared.
Here i am shareing some modal view and want to ask corresponding doubts.
- Source= Fundamenrtal TE,progation direction is along X axis, according to madal view we are getting.. Ey intensity>Ex intensity>Ez intensity. since x is propagation direction then why is Ex > Ez ?
2. Source= Fundamental, Propagation along X axis, according to the modal view we are getting Ey intensity >Ex intensity> Ez intensity. WHY Ex >Ey?
I am requesting to check all the shared image carefully.
And please give me the logical answer with proper reason. or is it the inbuilt problem of ansys Lumerical !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ????????????????
