MFD in spot size converter

  Hi,
  
  I want to know how to set the MFD of the light source (is it the port geometry?) and the size of the mode fields (results in each EMECells) in spot size converter simulation using EME as in the example SSC simulation

  Are you looking for the horizontal/vertical MFD (1/e^2 or 1/2) for the input mode?

  Yes, I want to know how to measure and change the MFD of the input mode. And also how to measure the mode size I got throughout the EME cells. For example, in the image below from EMECells 21.
