Forum ModeratorTranslated: Hello, I have to do an XML program integrating python for a fsum post-processing of a group of nodes and related elements. Indeed on mechanical the result is not correct because it makes an average between the connected elements of 2 bodies. To achieve this, I have to use an apdl macro and I would like to be able to use this macro in a python and be able to display the torsor on mechanical. How can I integrate APDL into Python? What example can I use if I fail? thank you in advance for your help

Ansys EmployeeHi,
If you looking for APDL with Python scripting, you may use pyMAPDL.
Reference material:Â
Welcome to PyMAPDL — PyMAPDL

Ansys EmployeeHi abass
I think that the WB Mechanical "Python Result" may be a better option for your case than PyMAPDL. Please see the following Help section for more information:

The ANSYS Developer Forum is open to the public to ask questions on scripting. You can sign up here and search for "dpf fsum"; there are quite a few discussions on the topic.
