Hi,
I have a model which is made up of facets. however, when I try to import the model into ANSYS mechanical I receive an error which says refresh failed and failed to import assembly from Spaceclaim. No bodies to transfer. How may I solve this. Thanks! -

Hi
Mechanical needs geomety to mesh and facets from an STL file are not considered geometry.
Open the STL file in SpaceClaim and use the tools on the Facets tab to create geometry from the facets such as the shrinkwrap tool.
I have a collection of videos on YouTube that show how to do this.Â
