Subscriber Hi,
i want to mesh my geometry (consist of a box in which cylinders are inserted) i do not know which method i will choose for meshing i simply generate mesh in which i apply Â
sizing as fine, smoothing as high and generate but it will take too much time for mesh and at the end error will generate as " meshing failed out of memory"
Kindly help me regarding this issue. Â

SubscriberHi Ali,
It is important to have very clean geometry to be able to reliably mesh. The geometry you are attempting to mesh might have some defect in it or it may have tiny edges or sliver faces that cause problems for the mesher. Carefully check your geometry. There are different tools in DesignModeler and SpaceClaim to help repair geometry. Which geometry editor have you been using and what version of ANSYS are you using?

Ansys EmployeeMesh the critical parts with a higher density and relax it in the non-critical areas. Also, what version are you using? Try upgrading might also help.

SubscriberThank you for your co-operation i have a simple geometry in which a (box consist of 8 m length and 0.97 m in width and 0.3 m in hight and in which cylinders are inserted have a diameter of 10 mm ) when i generate more cylinders in a box errors are occur and when i insert less number of cylinders the mesh has been done only error has occur when insert more series of cylinder. kindly help me why error will occur by increasing the layers of cylinders in a boxÂ
I use Ansys 16.0 versionÂ

Ansys EmployeeFirst of all please use latest version R19.2
Please slice the geometry with the planes parallel to YZ plane. Then mesh the sliced geometry one by one.Â
Please try to slice the geometry so that small holes are divided into two parts.Â
Also I assume these are simple holes and dont have any fillets.Â
